Marian Academy successfully defended their City Conference (Georgetown) title, defeating the Bishops High in their under-19 match up by a 37-27 score when the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) Regional Conference concluded on Friday.
Marian’s Judah Stephney, who was adjudged to be the conference’s most valuable player (MVP) led the Carifesta Avenue unit with a double-double of 12 points, 13 rebounds and five steals.
In the East Coast Conference (ECC), the University of Guyana defeated President’s College 64-54 in their under-19 encounter.
