The administration of the Fort Wellington Hospital is refuting claims that an octogenarian patient was beaten by nurses on Wednesday June 25, and said she had fallen off the bed.
Acting Regional Health Officer, Dr Alexander Sinclair told Stabroek News on Monday that the relatives’ claim in Kaieteur News that Julia Melville, 86, of Number 8 Village, West Coast Berbice was beaten in the head by two nurses was totally false.
