Approximately three weeks after being injured in an accident and then robbed by passers-by pretending to help, hospitalised newspaper vendor Lorna Johnson is finally starting to show signs of improvement.
Johnson, 55, who is an admitted patient at in the Georgetown Public Hospital, told Stabroek News that she is now able to breathe on her own—something that was not possible before because her ribs, which were broken during the accident, had punctured her lungs.
