Is Section D Sophia supposed to be a residential area?

Dear Editor,

Could the relevant authorities kindly inform the residents of Sophia D Section in the third street from the police station if this area was designated as a residential one or otherwise.

In August 2012 a factory/kitchen opened its doors and the discomfort began. A compressor was placed less than 15 ft from my bedroom; it is nerve wracking. I take tablets for high blood pressure, and this is very hard on me. I work on night duty and this noise goes on seven days a week. How long do I have to take this? The land is only 40×80 and to have a factory so close to my residence is not an easy thing to go through. In addition, a toilet was built less than two feet from the side fence.

And if that is not enough, a 20 ft container has been on the parapet since 2012 to serve as a storeroom and a good hideout at night. I have been living in Sophia since 1994 and never thought that it would ever be an uncomfortable place for me and my family to live.

The owners are subletting on such a small house lot and are making us feel insecure. This is Sophia, but they are living comfortably elsewhere.

We are appealing for the relevant authorities to urgently intercede in this matter.

Yours faithfully,
