Team Guyana suffered another crushing group-B loss, going down to Trinidad and Tobago 96-33 when the women’s section of the 2014 Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) championships continued yesterday in Tortola, British Virgin Islands (BVI).
Natasha Alder was the only scorer in double figures for Guyana as she netted 13 points. Rhea Codio led the winners with 15 points while Rhonda John, Joelisa Cooper and Anika Nothingham scored 13, 13 and 10 points respectively.
Leading Team Guyana 17-10 following the end of the first period, Trinidad and Tobago would extend their lead as they outscored Guyana 18-9 in the second interval to go into half time leading 35-19.
