The students will be attached to various departments within the company and during an induction ceremony last Friday, Clifton Davis, District Education Officer (Secondary) urged the students to enjoy their stint at GT&T while taking the programme seriously, a statement from the company said. Other speakers echoed similar sentiments while encouraging the students to use the programme to learn basic work ethics and principles that could be applied in their careers.

“GT&T has over the years been collaborating with the Ministry of Education with its work study programme. GT&T every year reaffirms its commitment to the programme as it forms an important part in the development of our young people as they strive for success. It should be noted that some students have been retained as employees from previous work study programmes,” the statement said.
