Officials of the Guyana Ex-Police Association of America Inc. today made a presentation of the sum of $241,850 to the Guyana Police Force towards its Scholarship Fund (Bursary Award).
A release from the police force said that the presentation was made in the Commissioner’s Conference Room, Police Headquarters, by the Association’s President Leon Gibbons (third from right) who was accompanied by the First Vice-President Leroy Charles and Secretary Cecil Williams.
Acting Commissioner Seelall Persaud in receiving the donation expressed gratitude on behalf of the Guyana Police Force. He stated that the Force was very committed towards ensuring that the welfare of members remains of utmost importance and noted that the contribution by the Association will be of significant assistance, the release said.
