GDF in come-from-behind win as rugby 10s competition gets underway

The Caribs and Hornets played to a 12-all stalemate while the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) ruggers came from behind to edge the UG Wolves 19-17 when the GRFU 10s league kicked off yesterday at the National Park.

In the hard fought second game of the double header, the soldiers held their nerve to defeat a game UG wolf pack compliments of two tries by national player Avery Corbin, a try by Joseph Rahaman and conversions off the boots of national ruggers Cloyd Prowell and Dwayne Schroeder.
