Mahendra Persaud produces world class shooting in Canada

National Fullbore shooting captain Mahendra Persaud has taken his 2014 campaign to Canada with creditable results following his participation at the just concluded Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland and the Bisley Annual Championships in the United Kingdom last month.

Persaud finished 14th overall in the Governor General’s final at the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association (DCRA) with a grand aggregate of 297 points with 31 V-bulls against stiff opposition from long range shooters of the United States, Great Britain and Canada at the Connaught Rifle Range, in Ottawa, Ontario.

He shot a possible 75 points with six V-bulls at 900 yards among his top performances and also scored 74.9 at 800 metres.

Kent Reeve of the United States was the winner with a grand aggregate of 299 points with 41 V-bulls followed by his compatriot Branson Green
