Paul DeNobrega sprinted off with the ‘A Dash For Cash’ 40-lap winner’s trophy yesterday at the National Park and then rode to the bank.

The Team Alanis wheelsman cashed in handsomely to tune of $48,000 after out pedaling last week’s winner, Robin Persaud in a crazy dash for the line in a thrilling two-man sprint finish.

In the United Bike Shop-sponsored prime prize littered event, DeNobrega rode home with a prime prize of $30,000 for winning the 35th lap, two $3000 prime prizes, four $1000 prime prizes and the winner’s purse ($7000).

Not bad for an hour and 28 minutes of work.

The national cyclist who has a penchant for winning big money races, led Persaud ($17,000 earnings) and Team United’s Mario King ($5,000 in earnings) onto the podium in the lucrative event.

Other prime prize winners included: Marlon Williams ($5,000) Alanzo Greaves ($4,000), Hamza Eastman ($4,000), Warren McKay ($4,000), Michael Anthony ($3,000) and Mark Harris ($3000).

Alonzo Ambrose, Albert Philander, Akeem Arthur and Godfrey Pollydore also snared one apiece.

Notes: In each of the first 35 laps, there was a prime prize of $1000 except the fifth, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th and 30th laps. Those laps had primes worth $3,000.
