The high speed chase/shooting incident during which lawman Leroy English was wounded, is being investigated by the police’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), according to the Crime Chief.
Constable English was shot in his right arm and foot at the Eccles, East Bank Demerara, Public Road around 00:30 hrs on Wednesday. But the circumstances surrounding how he was wounded are still unclear. He has declined comment on the incident.
