The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development on Friday disbursed contracts for solid waste management at municipal markets countrywide under the US$1.5 million agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The thee-part Guyana Solid Waste Management Project is being financed via the India, Brazil and South Africa (IBS) Trust Fund and implemented by UNDP, a press release from the Government Information Agency (GINA) said.
