City Council damaged machinery to be repaired under clean up programme

The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development is to repair the non-functioning garbage collecting machinery of the Mayor and City Council, which will then be used to clean up Georgetown under the $1 billion ‘Clean up my Country’ programme.

According to a press release from the ministry, the focus of the Georgetown cleanup is on community enhancement, improving the drainage network and minimising health risks.
