Two intruders fingered in fiery attack on Parfaite Harmonie house

The attack on the house at Parfaite Harmonie on Monday, which left 27-year-old Jason Munroe dead and the house reduced to ashes was apparently executed by two intruders, the home owner said yesterday and relatives of the dead man are awaiting the conclusion of investigations being done by the police and hoping that justice will be served.

One suspect is currently in police custody.

Munroe’s charred body was removed from the burnt out property at 201 Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara yesterday, while his girlfriend Zullina Callender, 20; her three-year-old daughter Princess Babb and her 15-year-old sister Shontel Callender were admitted as patients at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

Zullina Callender, who sustained wounds to her head and face as well as burns to her hands and feet, has since been discharged.

Speaking to Stabroek News yesterday, Callender’s mother Amanda Daniels said that while she was not at home when the incident occurred,
