Sixteen Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) Aviation Security Officers (ASOs) completed a self-defence programme on September 24 in the area of martial arts as a defence against any threat.
According to a release from the airport, the programme is the first of its kind and ran for two weeks.
A second batch will go through the exercise, which is facilitated by a Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Officer on September 29 at Timehri.
