On September 27, 2014, the Guyana Shines: Keep Guyana Beautiful initiative hosted its first civil society workshop at the Georgetown Club, a release from the US Embassy said today. The workshop, aimed towards grassroots civil society organizations shared best practices of promoting environmental stewardship and equipping civil society organizations with knowledge and information on recycling, composting, decomposition, and grassroots actions on the environment.
