A key step has been taken in putting the national male rugby team on the road to Mexico where they will look to reclaim the NACRA Sevens title in December.
Yesterday, during a press briefing at the headquarters of the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA), its president, K Juman Yassin presented a cheque valued $3M to president of the GRFU, Peter Green to cover the airfare of the team.
Green declared the GOA’s gesture as “a joyous occasion for the GRFU”, in the same breath
