Minister of Finance Dr. Ashni Singh (left), signed two agreements with the World Bank that will support Guyana’s Education and Agriculture sectors with funding totaling US$21M. The agreement signed in Washington this week by Singh with Sophie Sirtaine, Director of the Caribbean Country Management Unit of the World Bank, is to boost higher enrollment in general secondary schools and improve standards of mathematics teaching for secondary education.
