Kitty residents call for relief from unexplained ongoing flooding

Residents of Sandy Babb Street, Kitty say nothing is being done about the continual flooding of their yards and are calling on the relevant authorities to step in and deal with the issue once and for all.

The residents told Stabroek News yesterday that the flooding is not a recent occurrence and they are unsure of just where it is coming from. “This thing has been happening about 2 to 5 years now,” one woman told this newspaper. She said the water would take a long time to recede from her yard and she believes that it is coming from an alternate source.
