At about 0400h. today, police say that Electrical Engineer Abdool Saleem, 23 years, of Delhi Street, Prashad Nagar, was confronted by three men in an apparent attempt to rob him as he was about to enter his premises.
During the incident Saleem was shot and succumbed to his injuries, police said.
Investigations are in progress.
