East Ruimveldt man remanded over $2M hold-up of bank customer

Jimmy Myers, accused of robbing a man at gunpoint of $2M just after he left a city bank, is now a remanded prisoner after being denied bail.

Myers, a self-employed father of three of Lot 1 East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, pleaded not guilty to the charge of armed robbery read to him by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Courts’ yesterday.

It is alleged that on October 17, at Regent Street, armed with a gun, Myers robbed Derrick Khan of $2M.
