The Guyana National U-19 male hockey team came from two goals down to hold Old Fort to a 2-2 stalemate when day two of the GT&T National Indoor Championships continued on Tuesday at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue

Askofu Simon gave Old Fort the early lead in the third minute, placing his effort past the opposing custodian down the middle of the goal, from within the left side of the shooting arc.

Chris Low would then increase their lead 20 minutes later, glancing his effort with his back to the goal down the middle of the net to beat the onrushing custodian, after latching onto a long pass from his defensive third.

The National U-19 unit would then pull one back in the 27th minute as Leon Bacchus etched his name on the scorer’s sheet with a simple finish to the lower left hand corner, after receiving a right sided pass just outside the left side of the upright. Aroydy Branford would then earn his side a share of the spoils,
