A 27-year-old father of two was last evening gunned down in Cooper Street, Albouystown in what police investigators believe was a drive-by shooting.
Confirmed dead is Lloyd Bourne of Lot 57 James and Barr streets, Albouystown. He arrived at the Georgetown Hospital at 9.10 pm with a single gunshot wound to his left side chest and was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police officials told Stabroek News that there are reports that the shooter was in a silver-grey motor car. This newspaper was unable to ascertain if the police had any clues as it relates to the whereabouts of the motor car or the gunman. “From how things are looking it was a drive by,” this newspaper was told.
