The Region Six Democratic Council is investigating the vandalism of one of its excavators.
Just over a week ago, the machine which was being used to clear drains and canals in the farming community of Sandvoort Village in West Canje, Berbice was intentionally damaged by unknown persons. The equipment was scheduled to be used in another farming community and the vandalising has been a tremendous setback to the region’s work programme.
According to the regional chairman, David Armogan, the machine was assigned to the West Canje area for approximately three weeks “to help the farmers in the Sandvoort area to do their dams,
