President Donald Ramotar has formally appointed Hermina Gilgeours as Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly.
According to a press release from Parliament, the appointment took effect from November 10. Gilgeours had been acting in the capacity of deputy clerk since the resignation of Lilawatie Coonjah in May 2013. As one of the longest serving parliamentary staff, Gilgeours began her tenure on August 4, 1997 and held several positions including Research and Analytical Assistant
