History was denied yesterday when a Darron Niles inspired Stella Maris, overcame defending champs St. Pius 2-0 on penalty kicks in the grand finale of the third annual Petra Organization/Courts Pee Wee u-11 football tourney yesterday.
With both sides unable to find a winner at the Thirst Park venue during the normal and extra time intervals, Niles would give his side the 1-0 lead in the shoot-out as he buried their first attempt from the mark.
St. Pius would then fall behind as Brandon Solomon missed their first attempt from the penalty mark. The Woolford Avenue side would then make it 2-0 as Earl Grant netted their second attempt to the left side of the goal.
