Hirallal becomes first female to win international darts title

Rosetta Hiralall became the first female Guyanese to win an international darts title when Guyana’s three-member darts participated at the Bryden’s Barbados Darts Festival which was held in Bridgetown, Barbados just under two weeks ago.

In a category which comprised of 16 competitors, Hiralall was closest to the bullseye as she defeated Nannette Brooks of Trinidad and Tobago in the final to become the first female Guyanese champion in the ladies’ individual category. In total Hiralall played five games, four preliminary games and a final. In the final she defeated her opponent 3-0.

Unlike Hiralall, the other members of the team, team captain and former Caribbean and South American champion Sudesh Fitzgerald and Lallchand Rambharose, did not
