Georgetown Football Association (GFA) President Vernon Burnette said the Banks Beer Cup is the most prestigious tournament on their calendar of events and as such, the entity will be staging the fourth edition of the championships for only affiliated clubs.
Speaking exclusive to Stabroek Sports, he said:”The Georgetown Football Association will be hosting the fourth edition of the Banks Beer Cup. It has become the main feature on the calendar of events of the GFA and it is our most prestigious tournament. The tournament is slated to commence on the 30th of November and conclude on January 1st of 2015.”
Asked how did the body come to the decision of hosting its own yearend event, he said:”It is not a new decision, its a decision we took as an
