Residents not pleased with temporary fix of Charity breach

The Charity River defence dam which was breached on Friday last as a result of the spring tides was temporarily fixed by the Regional Democratic Council, but residents of the area are hoping that permanent works can be done soon.

At around 3 pm on Friday last the water from the Pomeroon River started to run over the dam leaving residents fearful that the entire village would have been flooded.
