Defending National and Georgetown champions, Queen Street Tiger Bay began their title defence in the worst possible manner, losing to West Back Road 2-0 when the Guinness Greatest of the Streets Georgetown edition continued on Sunday.
Akeem Fitzpatrick opened the scoring for the winners at the Demerara Park Parking Lot facility, slotting his right-footed effort into the empty net in the ninth minute from the centre of the field.
The unlikely group-H win would then be sealed in the 13th minute compliments of a Jamal Haynes strike into the left-hand corner.
