Pepsi Sonics overcame Linden unit Victory Valley Royals by a 78-69 score line, when the Phillip George Memorial Basketball tournament continued on Sunday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Homestretch Avenue. Jason Squires led the assault for the Mandela Avenue-based side as he netted a game high 18 points. Supporting with the next best score of 15 points was Collis Pluck while Sheldon Frank and Trevor Smith netted 11 points apiece.
Shooting his way to a 15-point showing in a losing cause was Chris Williams while Harold Adams supported with 14 points.
