Defending National and Georgetown champs Queen Street Tiger Bay maintained their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages, edging Tucville 1-0 when the Guinness Greatest of the Streets Georgetown leg continued on Wednesday.

Deon Alfred found the back of the net at the National Cultural Centre tarmac in the must win match-up compliments of a seventh-minute conversion. Racing down the right side of the field, the wily Alfred slotted his first-time right-footed effort down the middle of the goal, after receiving a left-sided Jason Fredericks pass following a two-on-one situation with the final defender.

With the win, Queen Street Tiger Bay move on to three points from two games and will require a win in their final group match-up against North Ruimveldt to progress to the next round.

Due to the loss, Tucville remain on zero points from two games and have been eliminated from the tourney.
