The Sago Palm

Cycas revoluta commonly called Sago Palm originated from Japan in the Far East. This is not a true palm; actually it belongs to the Cycad family which has approximately 40 species. Cycads are more related to Conifer and Ginko trees. Cycas revoluta are unusual and popular ornamental trees. with rugged trunks and feathery fronds (leaves), hence the common name.
