Teen jailed for theft

A young man will be in jail for the next two years after he pleaded guilty to two charges of simple larceny last Friday.

Joshua Joseph, 18, who told the court that he was a farmer and was also employed on contract with the government’s Clean-Up My Country campaign, pleaded guilty to a charge which stated that on November 18, on Leopold Street, he stole a stereo set valued $150,000 from Jermaine Peters.

Joseph was also charged with stealing a DVD player, worth $20,000, from Peters on October 16. He denied stealing the
