Sugar workers have been awarded 4.5 days’ pay for this year’s sugar production, a release from the main sugar union, GAWU said yesterday.
As of yesterday, annual sugar production stood at 208,949 tonnes. A twice-lowered target of 216,000 tonnes was set for this year.
