A fun-day held at the Santa Rosa Parish, in Region One yesterday, was a “great community event” according to Minister of Amerindian Affairs Pauline Sukhai.
GINA said that Minister Sukhai, a team from the Amerindian Affairs Ministry and the villagers who attended the event had the chance to enjoy a fun-day, which included a food and clothes sales and novelty games for prices. The activity was held to raise funds to aid the restoration of the parish building. Sukhai whose visit was also in response to the Parish’s request for toys for the children said that it was heartening to see so many gathered for the event, GINA said.
