In spite of the turmoil that engulfed the association in the earlier moments of the year, Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) President Collis Gifth believes the entity and by extent the sport nationally, are currently on the right path.
Speaking exclusively to Stabroek Sports, Gifth said:” I think despite the little turbulence they had in football during the early stages, I think football in the association and to a wider extent Guyana is finding a root and there are signs of improvement.
“I could basically say the latter part of the year was generally good for the association and with the success of our tournament so far, it even add more to it,” he added.
