Residents of block CC Mon Repos have been taught heap composting as a method of recycling organic waste under the Clean Green Guyana campaign. According to a Guyenterprise press release, the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development Clean Green Guyana campaign is funded by the Inter-American Development Bank. In a bid to minimise the improper disposal of organic waste while simultaneously extending the life of landfills, the residents were taught heap composting.
