The Buxton Youth Developers (BYD) are now beneficiaries of a donation made by Courts Guyana.
At a presentation ceremony hosted by the Main Street Branch of the company yesterday, Courts Guyana donated four gas stoves and five footballs to the BYD, which is a group that aims to provide education for the underprivileged members of the Buxton community as well as school drop-outs. It offers guidance in areas such as Math and English as well as common entrance and Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) subjects.
The stoves are to be allocated to the developing BYD Home Economics Department and the footballs to its female football team. Courts Guyana Marketing Manager commended the effort of the group and hoped that the contribution will benefit the school. He said that with the new addition of the
