Godfrey Pereira of lot 58 Fifth Street, Alberttown appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry in Court One on a simple larceny charge after it was alleged that he along with Dwayne Wallace and others choked and robbed Deodat Singh on Quamina Street relieving him of articles worth $16,240 on March 20.
According to Police Prosecutor Michael Grant, the two defendants approached Singh while he was traversing Quamina Street on his bicycle. The court was told that Wallace choked Singh and relieved him of his bicycle while Pereira emptied the pockets of the victim. Wallace, 24,
