The Government Analyst-Food and Drug Department is calling on water processing factories to conform to all requirements as regards the sale and distribution of treated water in five-gallon bottles.
According to a press release from the department, manufacturers and distributors must have a valid licence, which is an indicator of compliance of good manufacturing practice. The release also mentioned that bottles used must be properly cleaned, sanitizing, labelled and sealed prior to sale and or distribution.
