Newly crowned Georgetown Football Association (GFA)/Stag Beer Futsal champs Alpha United, officially received their prizes yesterday from Beverage Company Ansa McAl at a presentation ceremony held at the entity’s Beterverwagting headquarters. The ‘Hammers’ secured the title following a nail biting 5-4 win over Riddim Squad in the final, clinching the $250,000 first prize and championship trophy. Riddim Squad for their showing walked away with $150,000 and the second place accolade.
Similarly receiving prizes were Western Tigers who defeated Santos FC by a 5-1 margin in the third place playoff. The Tigers for their efforts pocketed $100,000 and the corresponding trophy while Santos received $50,000 and a trophy.
On an individual note, Travis Grant of Alpha United was adjudged to be the
