A new home for the Police Credit Union… Earlier this week the 45-year-old Guyana Police Cooperative Credit Union commissioned its new Headquarters in Camp Street, opposite the Criminal Investigation Department. The Credit Union has invested approximately $45 million in the new premises which its officials say represents “improved service” for its almost 3,000 members. Local credit unions have, for decades, served as a ready source of access to borrowing for thousands of working Guyanese.
