Diamond man hospitalised after being hit by bus

A construction worker is now a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital with broken ribs, head injuries and bruises after he was struck down allegedly by a minibus on Saturday night.

Sudesh Mears, 21, of Diamond, East Bank Demerara, said he was riding along the East Bank Demerara public road when the bus hit him, knocking him off of his pedal cycle. The injured man said he was aware up to the point when he was hit but could not recall much of what transpired afterward.
