Petra donates footballs to Milo u-20 schools

In an effort to aid in preparations for the Milo u-20 tourney, event coordinators Petra Organization donated two practice balls each to the participating schools yesterday at a presentation ceremony held at the Ministry of Education ground.

In a brief address, Troy Mendonca, Petra Organization co-director said the entity is pleased to be associated with the event. He said too the hosting of the tournament has motivated many young players to stay in school in order to qualify to play. He also said he was delighted to see the employment of a full-time Guyana Football Federation (GFF) technical director by the Normalization Committee and hoped that systems can be put in place to build on the efforts made at this level.

“Running these tournaments show us what is needed at the infrastructure and football education level, declaring with the
