Sun Parakeets or Sun Conures are stunning yellow-orange birds with wings featuring a mix of yellow, green, and blues. The species is highly endangered with less than 200 individuals thought to be remaining in the wild, mainly as a result of the cage bird trade. Residents of Karasabi are very much aware of this and are vigilant of any attempts at trapping these wild birds.
