Four more drivers fined for driving under the influence

Four more persons have been found guilty and fined $7,500 each for driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to a press release from the Guyana Police Force, the four men were stopped over the period February 22 to March 2 and were administered breathalyzer tests, which revealed that they were over the legal limit.

On February 22, Brian Giddins of Lot 300 ‘A’ Thomas Street, Georgetown was stopped on Thomas Street while driving motor vehicle PMM 2718. He was given a breathalyzer test and found to be over the legal limit of consumption of alcohol. When he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on February 26, he pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined $7,500.
