Ballot papers for polling day here

The Guyana Elections Commission (Gecom) is in possession of the ballot papers for the May 11 general elections that arrived in Guyana on Saturday evening from Canada where they were printed.

Deputy Chief Election Officer Vishnu Persaud told Stabroek News on Sunday that the systems have been put in place to ensure the security of the over half a million ballots as well as to ensure that the 10 regional ballots will be sent to the correct locations.

The ballots were brought in from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri and are
