Hundreds of thousands of Guyanese will head to the polls today in the most pivotal elections since 1992 with the main opposition parties uniting in their strongest effort yet to unseat the incumbent PPP/C government which has been in power for the past 22 years.
Bruised by numerous scandals, the ruling PPP/C with President Donald Ramotar at the head of the ticket, plucked a virtual unknown in Elisabeth Harper for his running mate, but it is doubtful whether she has been able to bring much to the table as during her appearances at campaign rallies,
