Patanjalee Persaud is not only one of the top golfers in Guyana having won several tournaments previously. He is also the Managing Director of Crown Mining, the company which sponsored last week’s tournament at the Lusignan Golf Club.

He is also the brother of national rifle shooting captain Mahendra Persaud. With such a background it was not surprising that Patanjalee Persaud, despite his efforts not to, comfortably won Saturday’s Crown Mining tournament recording the best net score of 66 with a 23 handicap.
